How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions a client requires depends on the specific issue(s) that is being addressed. The average number of sessions is six but some clients may require more.
How long is a session?
Each session is 55 minutes in duration.
What are the fees?
$120 per session
How do I pay?
Payment is by EFTPOS/Credit Card at the conclusion of each session.
Online sessions are paid in advance by Bank Transfer.
Can I claim a Medicare rebate?
No. Medicare does not provide rebates for Psychotherapy/Counselling.
Do I need a Doctor's referral?
No. You do not need a referral from a GP nor do you need a Mental Health Plan to see a Psychotherapist/Counsellor. Fees for Psychotherapy are comparable to out-of-pocket costs you would pay after the Medicare contribution on a Mental Health plan.
What is the cancellation policy?
Clients needing to cancel or change an appointment are required to provide twenty-four
(24) hours’ notice. The client will be charged a $100.00 cancellation fee if 24 hours’ notice is not provided.
Can sessions be online?
Yes. Clients are welcome to book an online session.
Online sessions fees are the same as face to face.
Online sessions are via Facetime, Zoom, Microsoft Teams or the Psychology Today portal depending on the client's own technology.
What time of the day can I make an appointment?
Face to Face Appointments are available on Mondays only at this time, between 9.00am and 9.00pm.
Online Appointments are available on other days of the week.
